NFC Tanzania has contributed to the development of its surrounding communities in the FY22 through constructing dormitories and classrooms, hospitals/clinic/doctors’ accommodation, supporting religious institutions and schools’ plantations, facilitating the formation of tree growers/beekeeping/village and savings associations with greater women involvement.
NFC conserves landscape through responsible forestry practices, helping neighbours adapt to climate change, and actively conserving forest ecosystems. In the FY22, NFC Tanzania has donated more than 6 million tree seedlings, mapped more than 2700 ha of outgrowers’ microforests, conducted trainings on silviculture and fire awareness. The company also has a monthly monitoring system to consolidate all reporting requirements for investors and FSC requirements.
